Snack Packaging Last month, Ziynet Boz and I dove into how packaging can gobble up snack food market share. This session will demonstrate the complexities (consumer, distribution, technology) of selecting packaging solutions in reducing food waste. We will explore which packaging solutions offer the most benefit (in terms of dollars of food waste reduced) for specific categories.
In collaboration with Ziynet Boz, we will describe and introduce recent trends in the migration from food packaging materials to food products from regulatory and testing perspectives. Contemporary developments, including processing-induced migration and modeling of migration from food contact materials to food products, will be covered.
